Péra 2 or ‘liokormo’
This loft draws its name from the word ‘liokormo’ [noun] based on 'eliá' (olive tree) and 'kormos' (tree trunk), symbolizing the strength and timeless beauty of the olive tree.
In local tradition, the 'liokormo' refers to a talisman carved from olive wood, often adorned with Christian imagery, used to protect against the evil eye.
Just as this ancient charm brings spiritual protection and peace, the ‘liokormo’ loft offers a serene retreat where guests can experience the island's rich cultural heritage, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of Skopelos.
Péra 3 or ‘tsoukia’
Inspired by a unique local word, this loft takes its name from the Skopelitian adjective ‘tsoukia’ [adj.] , which describes the act of carrying something on one’s shoulders or wrapped around the neck - like a parent carrying a child with warmth and care.
Rooted in everyday island life, this word reflects a sense of closeness, tradition, and effortless comfort. Just like its name, the ‘tsoukia’ loft embraces you in a welcoming atmosphere, offering a space where you can unwind and experience the authentic charm of Skopelos.
Péra 4 or ‘giourdel’
This loft is named after ‘giourdel’ [noun], a traditional bucket, once crafted from leather or wood and later from tin. Deeply woven into the island’s daily life, the giourdel was a simple yet essential tool, used for carrying water, milk, or even olives. Much like its namesake, the ‘giourdel’ loft blends tradition with practicality, offering a space that embodies the resourcefulness and heritage of Skopelos while providing modern comfort and relaxation.
